Match report Another good all round performance saw us beat Ealing by 15 runs. Batting first good positive batting and calling from Charlie S and Archie K enabled us to get away to a good start. We lost our way a bit in the middle order but the scoreboard was still ticking over and our competitive total was reached with some good aggressive batting from Sam and Max. Good tight bowling from Dan and Chris restricted the early batsmen and the supporting bowling was tidy enough; however too many wides meant Ealing were never out of the hunt. A good couple of overs from Archie G and Sam saw wickets tumble and we eventually ran out reasonably comfortable winners. AREAS TO WORK ON: Being positive with the calling and backing up throughout the whole innings; Punishing the wayward delivering especially the leg side; Being more accurate with the bowling - i.e. reduced the number of wides; make sure fielders do not 'wander'. POSITIVE SIGNS: Better calling and backing up with the batting in parts; 6 of our wickets that we took were bowled; good ground fielding especially Chris and Max. Another good team performance with everyone contributing.
