23yr old from the South Coast of NSW Australia. Opening right hand bat and big turning leg spin bowler. Latest measurement has shown at right angles. New to the club from GWR just for the kebabs. Looking forward to playing with a high number of English players during a year of personal humiliation for a side ranked below Antarctica in the latest test rankings. Always up for a beer and a good time. A little concerned at the convenience of having the Redback on our doorstep.

Young 17 year old Right hand bat and bowler (colts only). This is just a theory as i do very little with the bat. main area of expertise lies in sitting on the balconey watching others do the hard work. Most of all ienjoy watching England beat Australia in the ashes (when it happens).

Left hand bat, long suffering Old 'A's stalwart but not yet one of the old grumps....looking forward to another season scapping.

I am a passionate West Indies and England cricket fan, although soley focussed on England regaining the Ashes and beating the Aussies this summer. It's my third season playing for OAs but I have been living in Acton for about 8 years. I am interested in youth work in Wembley and in Acton. I am a committed Christian and member of a local Acton church called Oaktree (oaktree.org.uk). My favourite player is Shivnarine Chanderpaul of Guyana and West Indies, on whom I model my batting.

Hailed as the next David Gower - 20 years ago - , this classy left hander claims to have a cover drive that Michael Vaughan would die for.

light weight drinker....means alcohol is cheap and I am out my head and partying quickly..

Right- armer who seems to take wickets with looseners which deserve to go straight to the boundary, apart from that a pretty average bowler who has suprised himself with the amount of Butterworth points he has gained this year, must be a fix...

Left arm medium pace bowler who can also bat a bit.......no really, I can - There was this one time....... Can also be found taking diving catches or stopping a certain boundary in the covers and is also a qualified coach. Joined from Brentham where a happy 12 years were spent from the age of 13 but realised the beer was cheaper here and rumours of good BBQ's tempted him across.
Asif Qamar Member profile Asif Qamar
Started playing cricket in 1988 in Pakistan coming across the likes of Shahid Afridi, Moin Khan & Rashid Latif. Afridi remembers him fondly as he once hit Asif for 5 sixes in a row.

Played previously for Croydon and Perivale/Phoenicians Cricket clubs before joining Old Actonians in 2008.

Has a theory regarding cricket that is - to bowl, bat and field is not enough, you must have a cricket sense, you have to be mentally strong, must believe in yourself; yes, I can do it at any cost.

Right arm medium bowling all rounder.

left arm spinner and middle order batsman

Known for bowling right arm express pace, and having a determined approach to the game (and also under the guise of a variety of nicknames ranging from Smithanator, Smiffy, Shreckie). Has now been with this club for over 16 years as he joined the club when a mere nipper aged 8. Has done pretty much everything for the club ranging from keeping wicket, opening the bowling, batting, and batting in a number of scenarios and situations for every team from under 10’s up to the first team. Which is pretty impressive considering he can’t bat or field!

Right-handed batting all-rounder once described as a fat Marcus Trescothick (no foot movement, likes sausages) albeit right-handed and slightly less likely to score 14 test tons. Apparently destined to spend more Saturdays at stag dos and weddings than playing cricket.

Proclaims to be "Old A's 'till he dies", although this assertion is dubious in the light of his cunning tactic of playing one game a season in the hope the selectors forget he's ageing and still see him as the bright young prospect he was when he captained the Under 11's and Under 15's to historic district cup victories in 1998 and 2002 respectively; thus they still stick him in the first team whenever he deigns to grace the shores of England. This is a strategy that has worked until now as his annual explosive fifty-ball 80 against balding 60-year old part-time pie-chuckers in cricket week seems to be sufficient to convince the cricketing intelligentsia of the club to overlook the fact that his beer belly is in danger of outdoing his uncle's. Is currently in Colombia selflessly aiding his beloved A's through the economic crisis by halving its tea bills. Considering whether the lack of London Pride in the Bogota CC pavillion is reason enough to pack in his ultimate life ambition of being a journalist reporting on second division Latin American football. Former known as a destructive right-handed number 6 batsman and intimidating first-change bowler. The comparisons with Andrew Flintoff don't stop there as during his sabbatical he has also had embarrassing drunken moments in the Caribbean. Have the pair ever been seen in the same room? Greatest cricketing moment: Creaming the promising young bowling quartet of Kevin Mahoney, Duncan Slaughter, Steve Greenwood and Steve Smith all around the ground for a maiden (and needless to say only) century.
