Match report We came along really determined to avenge our defeat by Chesham last week. The supporters were out in force, including Malik and his rabbit on a lead !!!!!
Batting had a shaky start with the loss of Maz and Katie on. Rebecca and Keely steadied the ship, and batted really well. Rebecca scored her maiden ton for the club, with 103 not out, and Keely scored 82 not out in her first match of the season. So, we set a total of 212 for 2.
The first overs were bowled tightly so Chesham could not chase. 25 runs off the first 10 overs was not going to challenge our score! Edna bravely took a hard catch straight back to her when bowling to remove the dangerous opener and from then on the batsmen fell to excellent bowling and fielding. Reshma took 2 brilliant one handed catches, Maz took a diving catch (cynics would say she fell forwards!) and run out and Amy an excellent catch. Camille, Reshma and Edna all took 3 wickets, with figures of 3-21, 3-7 and 3-15 respectively. Chesham were bowled out for 77 in 29.2 overs.
A great comeback after last weeks display.
The rabbit look impressed too!
