Bowling all-rounder hailing from the mean streets of Warkworth, New Zealand. Have had a few seasons with Old Actonians now (some better than others). Always keen for a beer and a yarn...

Favourite New Zealand joke:

How does a Kiwi find a sheep in the long grass?

Very nice, thank you!

As I went to a very small school, I only really started playing cricket during my Ph.D..  As I was always 10 or 11 I was asked up umpire so I eventually decided to do it properly and took the training course etc.

I still like to play but broken shoulder hasn't helped my already poor skills!

Hailed as the next David Gower - 30 years ago - this classy left-hander claims to have a cover drive that Moeen Ali would die for.

Started playing cricket in 1988 in Pakistan coming across the likes of Shahid Afridi, Moin Khan & Rashid Latif. Afridi remembers him fondly as he once hit Asif for 5 sixes in a row.

Played previously for Croydon and Perivale/Phoenicians Cricket clubs before joining Old Actonians in 2008.

Has a theory regarding cricket that is - to bowl, bat and field is not enough, you must have a cricket sense, you have to be mentally strong, must believe in yourself; yes, I can do it at any cost.
