Less than a week after the first outdoor net session of 2012, and two great pieces of news already.
First up, what you've all been waiting for: the
report on our dramatic victory in the final of the
Brentside Indoor League. Read all about that
here.
Secondly, the weather held out and we had a
fantastic Cricket Open Day on Saturday 21st April
(photos below).
Plenty of new faces joined existing members for games on the outfield, a
practice in the new nets and beers (if old enough!) and burgers
afterwards.
EYES PEELED, as we will be putting
photos and
videos from the day on the website very shortly.
Thanks very much to Carlene Bender for her superhuman efforts in organising the day.
If you are interested in playing cricket at Old Actonians (male or female, experienced or novice) and missed our open day, see the contact details below or join us on Tuesdays from 6.30pm for practice.
Also, two reminders for ALL MEMBERS:
1) Membership fees are due by
31st May, but please pay as early as possible to save us chasing people.
Details here.
2) Please mark your
AVAILABILITY on
the website immediately for as many games as you can. Selection is each
Tuesday, and it is difficult for us to pick sides if we don't know
who's around.
Here's the link for the uninitiated. There are two pre-season friendlies
THIS SATURDAY for which we will be picking teams on
Tuesday evening (24th April).
