Actonians Cricket Club Lost by 53 runs

Match report Lost the toss and Hutton chose to bat first. Great start for us, as Katy had the opener caught at square leg by Gemma in the second over. The other opener hung around for a long time, so we targeted the other end. Maz took 2 wickets, one caught by Keely and a sharp stumping by Debbie. A run out by Maz, and then Keely took 3 wickets to clean up the tail. Amy bowled very well and bowled out the opener, who was on 125 by then
Lovely teas ( Thanks Katy and your mum) and then out to bat. Keely got 19, Gemma and Gio were in for a short time, then Debbie joined Maz. They put on over 100, until Debbie was out, on her top score of 29. Maz followed soon after, lbw on 66. Karina had a short innings, and Sarah and Carlene were both not out. We fell short of the target, but still pick up bonus points, so not all bad.
Good teamwork, and we never gave up. Thanks to Matt for umpiring, and Zara and Piri for scoring
We have a T20 next Sunday against Bushey park, and then no cricket on 26 May as we are at Reshma's wedding !! As always, get your availability in for next Sunday, for Alex to pick the team.
