Match report Bad feelings before the game had even started was not how we wanted to start (possibly) Rebecca's last game of the season for us. Specially after the great night we had the night before, so our heads told us. We were told we were being put out to bowl without a toss, with little argument we did what we were told by the hosts and let our cricket do the talking.

We started the game a player down, with Eimear kindly stepping in to keep for us. It didn't take us long to break their opener, all of 10 minutes to be exact, a strong throw from Lucy to get a run out. We shared the bowling around and the wickets continued to fall, Zara, Katy and Elsa picking up one each, a great low catch from Lucy to see off their 3rd batter who was starting to look comfortable. Although we were a little quiet on the field, we fielded well letting little past us.
Emily came onto bowl to take 3 wickets in two overs finishing on 3-5. They only had 8 batters and within an hour we had bowled them out for 61 in 18.3 over.

A small target to chase, openers Debbie and Amy started the chase well getting the score to 21 before Amy was bowled in the 4th over. Julie went in and supported Debbie well until Debbie was bowled in the 8th over with us on 40. Julie enjoyed running hard with Rebecca as they saw us home in the 11th over.

Well done to everyone for sticking with it, we played good, positive cricket and showed them what our club is about! The short game lasted all of an hour and forty minutes, giving us enough time to go cheer on the mens development team.
