Earlier this year, the Ladies'
section were successful in our application to Tesco's 'Bags of Help
Grant Scheme' which provides funding to support community based projects,
from proceeds of the 5p bag charge. The funding will be used to support
the Thursday night ladies' development training sessions (as this project
fitted the funding criteria) and to buy any additional equipment required, thereby
supporting the wider club too.
What happens next?
Our project, titled ' Old Actonians Ladies CC;
Outdoor Cricket Coaching', along with two other successful projects in
the region, will be put forward to a customer vote in Tesco stores
between Monday 8th January and Wednesday 28th February 2018.
What do I have to do?
Every time you shop in Tesco (up to any value) - please ask for a token
and place it in our voting box. I'm unsure of the layout in each store,
but from my experience it is a small stand of clear plastic boxes, usually on
the way out. Please ask a member of staff if you can't find it. Please note you
do not have to purchase a carrier bag to get a token!
Where can I vote?
The following
stores will all have our project listed, so please support these stores as much
as possible!

Why is
it important?
If we get the highest number of votes, we will
receive £2000 which will be vital in supporting the club
this year.
These
funding opportunities don't come round too often, so please get shopping,
voting and spread the word to all your family and friends to do the same! Every
little (vote) helps! And please let me know if you experience any difficulties
casting your vote, and I will chase it up with the people at the scheme.
Thank you for your support as always.
