SPECIAL CRICKET WEEK REVIEW!

Vs Presidents XI- our recent Ex players made up our Presidents XI who batted first to kick off our Cricket Week. They complied 192-9 with Abhay Nakhare top scoring with an unbeaten 70. In response it was 72 from Luke Ajani and 47 from Harry Low which took us to a 7 wicket victory. Great to see our President Duncan Slaughter down, and great to raise money for the @ruthstraussfoundation

Vs HM Treasury- we batted first on the Monday and posted a below par 139, with the Treasury’s Tom Eland taking 5 wickets. In response Roheet Gupta took 2 wickets however the visitors ran out comfortable victors with 6 wickets remaining

Vs Ian Holleyman XI- Tuesday our guest batted first scoring 249-9 with Tom Wilkins scoring 104 not out. In response Zain ul Abidin scored 51 however it was an unbeaten 100 from Greg Roebuck Williams which took us in sight of victory. The match however was ultimately a draw with Greg unable to find the boundary on the final ball, in what was a pulsating final hours play

Women’s Day- this was a T-20 match with Lucy Davies ‘Legs XI’ taking on Lois Tooles ‘Beasts from the North East’. In the end the Legs got over the line, winning by 4 runs. Big thanks to those involved with the BBQ and great to raise money for @mermaidsgender charity!

Actonians Festival- two matches completed during the day with the highlight being Henry Chapmans fifty!
