Actonians Cricket Club - Week 3





1s- took on MTSSC at the Post Office Ground. The home team batted first scoring 191 with Lakshan Srivanas  the pick on the bowlers taking 4-28. It was a steady response by our boys with Marcus Maben anchoring for 59 however we couldn’t quite keep up with the rate beaten by 21 runs

2s- went 3 for 3 as they took on the same opposition at HQ. We posted 172-9 with Jayson Fernandes carrying on his good form with 48. The response from MTSSC never really got going with Sahil Sasan our leading light taking 4-24

W2- scored 180 batting first at HQ with our top scorer being Aishah Khan 61 not out batting at 8! Bushy Park got themselves into bother at 13-7 managing to get through to 61. Pick of the bowlers was new recruit Emma Parker with figures of 4-8

3s- posted a very defendable 208 at Bodders. Sandeep Khamb was the top scorer with 38, with some notable contributions from most of the order. Eastcote innings was held together by their opener who scored 94 and despite 5-51 from Shohiab Khan we were beaten by 3 wickets

4s- took on neighbours Acton in Gunnersbury Park who posted 180-9 from their allocation. Steve Smith was the pick of the bowlers taking 4-32. We got off to a great start and despite 3 quick wickets, Mayuresh Manr unbeaten 74 ably supported by Hitesh Patel we were comfortable victors by 6 wickets

5s- Twickenham scored 170 at NAPF, Ben Richmond taking 4-54. We fell to 40-3 in response however a 134 partnership between Andrew Maben (72) and Bilal Hussain (60) took us to victory with 13 overs in the locker

6s- faced the rampant Teddington 4s at Bushy Park. We fell to a disappointing 106 with just Ashish Keller making any inrods with 29. We took a few early ones however some good batting by TCC took them to the W with 5 wickets remaining 

Sun Club XI- went to Regents Park to take on the Whippetts. We posted 195 from our 25 overs with Luke Ajani top scoring with 95. The Whippetts response never hit 2nd gear at their turn at bat, with Oliver Cunnington taking 2-22
