Actonians Cricket Club - Weekly Review - Week 8





1s- visited the Racecourse Ground to take on regular foes Alexandra Park. We batted first compiling 117. In response APs opener bashed the ball everywhere and despite wickets falling at the other end the hosts got home with 4 wickets in hand. PM took 5-48.

W1s- also headed o North London, this time taking on North Hill in two Twenty 20s. In the first match NH struck 197-7, while in response, despite ES 64 not out we fell 102 runs short. In the second match we put up a better fight, scoring 151-4 from our 20, ES again in the runs scoring 72 not out with NH running out winners in the 16th over 

2s-  faced SKLP at HQ. We posted 154 with JF scoring 74. SKLP response was steady as they got home with 4 wickets remaining 

3s- took on Winchmore Hill at Bodders. We batted first scoring 155 with runs shared, Hill looked like they would be comfortable victors in response however some good bowling especially by RH who took 4-40 meant they had a shakey finish getting home by 4 wickets.

4s- crossed the road to Gunnersbury Park to take on Shepherds Bush. Our batting faltered as we were rolled for 30. Bush wasted no time chasing the runs and despite LP 2 wickets Bush were comfortable victors 

5s- visited Greenford to take on Brentham. We posted 194 at our turn at bat with Christiaan Naude carrying on his good form scoring 51 not out. Brentham’s chase was steady however some late wickets meant they settled for a winning draw with RP taking 3 wickets 

6s- scored 190 batting first against Trailfinders at NAPF. In response our skipper Abishek Bagga took 6 wickets however it wasn’t enough as TF got home with 3 wickets remaining

 

MDL XI- took on the high flying Hampton Hill at HQ. We batted first scoring 131 with Maan Sheth top scoring with 51. In response we failed to gain any traction as Hill ran out comfortable victors by 9 wickets

Women’s Softball XI- our side returned to action at Chiswick. We were victors in 2 of the 3 matches with our trio of Trinidadian’s the stars of the day!
