Actonians Cricket Club - Week 12

1s- visited Sudbury Town taking on MTSSSC. We bowled first dismissing the home side for 212. Luke Ajani picked up 5 wickets for us. In response some tight bowling by the home side throttled any chance of an Actonians win as we were comfortably beaten

2s- hosted the same opposition at HQ. We compiled 173-9 at first digs, with MTSSC following a similar plight at our 1s at the second turn at bat with Lakshan Srivas taking 5-11

Women’s 2s- visited Bushy Park who piled on 271. In response Aishah Khan scored 49 but we fell well short of the target

3s- visited Eastcote and scored 181 with Mayuresh Mane top scoring with 44. We made a good start at our turn at bat, however Eastcote showed why they are a top of the table getting home with 3 wickets in the locker.

4s- hosted near neighbours Acton, who scored 191 from 50 overs. In response there were a few wobbles however we negotiated the runs winning by 4 wickets

5s- took on Twickenham at NAPF who scored 187 with Sam Jones taking 4 wickets. In response our resident Doctor, Timon Blakemore- Kocadag top scored with 48, however we lost regular wickets and it could have gone any way into the final over. We chose to block out the final over finishing 9 down and 7 runs adrift

6s- visited the high flying Teddington 4s. They batted first scoring a mamouth 300 with Richard Thistlethwaite picking up 4 wickets. In response despite Sakif Chaudharys 51 we fell well short of the total

7s- visited Mayfield with a combined side with Harrow. Our batting faltering as we were bowled out for 63, Mayfield had no problems negotiating the total for a comfortable victory

Sun Club XI- visited northern Essex taking on Sampford. We batted first with Chanakya Shah scoring 50 and Ahmed King 41. In response our hosts failed to get anything going as we ran out comfortable victors
