This
weekend the Lovebox & Citadel Music Festivals will be taking place in
Gunnersbury Park from Friday through Sunday. As you may remember from
last year these festivals are attended by around 40,000 people and this will
result in road closures and parking restrictions throughout the area. The
Festival Organisers have provided us with the following information. They have
also provided us with a limited number of resident access permits - if you
require one please ask the bar staff during our opening hours.
I urge
you to read the following information carefully as Gunnersbury Drive and roads
leading to Boddington Gardens will all be closed.
If
you have trouble getting past the Lovebox/Citadel security you need to tell
them that you are attending sporting events at Actonians Sports Club.
Please also be aware that parking will be very limited.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY SO YOU ARE
FULLY PREPARED
Road closures and parking restrictions
The
closures mainly apply to Popes Lane and Gunnersbury Lane and the roads leading
off from them.
The
attached map shows the roads affected by the closures. Lovebox Road Closures Map.docx We have been
informed by the organisers that maps will be added to their website https://gpresidents-eventshub.com

Security and Stewarding
Lovebox/Citadel
will be providing stewards and security staff on all roads that are closed off
or along the routes to Acton Town and Ealing Broadway.
Lovebox/Citadel
staff will be available if areas of need are highlighted to Lovebox/Citadel
through the Complaints line.
In
conjunction with TfL, Lovebox/Citadel are considering providing staff outside
Gunnersbury Train Station, as this area has been highlighted from last year
Additional
Police Support is going to be available for areas where pedestrian access is
restricted as Security have no jurisdiction to enforce that. Eg. Gunnersbury
Drive.
Lovebox/
Citadel CANNOT provide stewards or security guards for our Club premises
however, they aim to have adequate staffing outside to enable people to manage
the crowd and provide safe access for our members and guests. Actonians will be
keeping the main gates to our grounds in Gunnersbury Drive closed but will have
a member of our Actonians Staff on the gate to give access to members and our
guests as required.
Issues on the days
If you
have any concerns on the actual festival day please contact the Lovebox/Citadel
helpline on 0203 781 7334. There will be four lines working throughout the
three festival days from 9am -1am. They have said they will have a team
specifically available to be responsive to complaints or concerns highlighted.
It is
important that they are made aware of issues at the time so that they can be
addressed and preventative measures can be put in place for the other days, so
please let them know.
