Match report Oh dear. Down to earth with a bump. After 2 great matches we really didn't turn up for this. Everything started OK. We were on time for warm up, won the toss, choose to bat, and then it all unravelled. I'd have to say that, apart from Lucy being out to a brilliant catch by the keeper, we got ourselves out rather than Chesham doing the damage. All out for 102 in the 20th over!!
Still, we are a good fielding side and could get that back. We bowled pretty well, but for some reason there was no spirit. We just flopped. They reached the target in the 25th over, for the loss of only 2 wickets.
One bright point was Julie's debut as wicket keeper. Covered in bruises now, she stopped most balls.
Leaves a lot for us to work on for next week, when we play Chesham again, at Old Actonian's. We know we can win, lets go out there and prove it.
Can you all send me availability for next week?
Only having 10 this week wasn't such a big disadvantage as they only had 10 too, but I'd prefer to field 11 each week if we can
