We all arrived at Hitchin ready to go but some more worse for wear than others (no names but *cough* Ryan).

Unfortunately Keely came 2nd in the toss and we were put into bat. Keely and Katie opened and got off to a good stop. Maz being our official scorer and off field captain made sure the rest of team was ready so when Katie fell for 17 in the 10th over Lucy was ready to go in to bat. Unluckily another wicket fell quickly so in went Edna. Edna definitely used her Moses magic in the semi final as she was dropped about 5 times which was great for us. Edna hit some lovely 4s finishing on 42 not out with Keely continuing to get a critical 53 not out. So after 20 overs we had 133 on the board to defend.

Lucy and Camille opened the bowling and kept it pretty tight. The openers were below the run rate with only 35 runs in the first 6 overs, but were being stubborn about giving away their wicket. A dodgy run saw the opener run out which was our breakthrough. Amy bowled a lovely 4 over spell with figures of 1-20. Great bowling from Edna and an appeal for LBW saw the opener back with the rest if the team. Some great fielding from Elsa, Gemma and Debbie! Julie kept the keeping very tight, diving and definitely putting her body on the line. Keely and Preeti finished up the overs and continued to take wickets finishing with figures of 1-28 and 2-6 respectively leaving Harrow 35 runs short of the total. A sweet victory considering we wanted to do better than the last time us and Harrow met.
