Match report Bit of a wobble when it started raining as we arrived, but a quick sprint to get the covers on kept the wicket dry for us.
New opening partnership of Alex and Katy put on partnership of 18 before Katy lwas bowled, Goo came to join Alex, and got the score up to 28. Marina had a short introductory innings in her first game at Actonians, and then Carlene joined Alex at the crease. For 40 minutes they batted well together, Carlene hitting a boundary 4 until she was finally run out on 11. Alex kept smashing it around until she was caught out on 70. Sue and Karina added valuable runs at the end to bring the score up to 120.
Maz and Katy opened the bowling, keeping the runs down, with help from Giovanna. Sue and Alex took over and the wickers started tumbling. Sue was on a hat trick, but just missed out. Sue took 3 wickets and Alex 1, to tear the heart out of Bushy Park. It was close, with them needing 9 runs an over. Keely and Amy bowled tightly at the end, and the whole team were throwing themselves around to stop the boundaries. It worked well. Amy held her nerve to bowl the last over, and we won by 11 runs. Great win girls, good team effort.

We have a week off now as it is Reshma's wedding next week, and then we are back to the 40 over league at our old chums Hampstead on 2nd June. Make sure you have said if you are available for that one
