Match report On what felt like the first real cricketing day of the year, Actonians Ladies travelled up to take on Harrow Ladies in glorious 21c sunshine. Harrow won the toss and decided to put Actonians in to bat. After warming up, Rio showed us all how to bat on a questionably steep pitch. The relentless cries of 'wicket ball' didn't help them to knock over the wicket. Debutante Charlie came in to stop the bowling momentum with a flurry of boundaries and top-scoring with 30 runs. After Charlie’s dismissal, the runs kept coming with a superb final over from Momina (ending 17*) took Actonians to 111-6 at the break.

With a decent total to defend, Actonians knew they had to bring their A-game in the field to take the win and that is exactly what they brought. Sarah's positive long barriers came rolling out; nothing was passing those muddy whites! The superb fielding took Harrow by surprise, with five wickets coming by run outs. Special mention needs to go to Amy, who took two of the run-outs along with two wickets in her overs. Bowling was shared round with some first league overs for many. However, Harrow was unable to compete with this brilliant fielding performance and was all out for 54 runs. It was a true team performance to be proud of- Onward and upwards.
