Match report This was originally scheduled as a league match, but Actonians had conceded when our roster topped out at 6 players. Over the weekend the two clubs agreed to play a friendly, with Actonians numbers supplemented by Siena Tracey from the under 16s. One of SBCC players turned out to be unavailable, so both teams had 7 each.

These was the acme of a relaxed game, and had none of the tension of the previous day's under 13 match against Sunbury. On a sunny but windy evening, Actonians bowled incisively and (mostly) accurately : and as a result Shepherds Bush were all out for 37 in the 9th over.

In reply Siena and Hannah get 7 off the first over and never looked back. Good running and solid hitting kept the score ticking over, with Siena scoring a couple of fours. Hannah was out with the score on 29, but Emma joined Siena and scored the winning run in the 7th over.

Actonians had won by 6 tickets, and the game was done before 7.00pm, with the ground locked up a little after quarter past.

It's tricky to choose a player of the a match in a game which is completed this quickly. However, at the risk of parental bias, I will go for Siena. She has only played a couple of games in the last year but scored a decent 23 against some accurate bowling.
