Asif Qamar profile

  • Started playing cricket in 1988 in Pakistan coming across the likes of Shahid Afridi, Moin Khan & Rashid Latif. Afridi remembers him fondly as he once hit Asif for 5 sixes in a row.

    Played previously for Croydon and Perivale/Phoenicians Cricket clubs before joining Old Actonians in 2008.

    Has a theory regarding cricket that is - to bowl, bat and field is not enough, you must have a cricket sense, you have to be mentally strong, must believe in yourself; yes, I can do it at any cost.
