Actonians Cricket Club

Afternoon all,

This Saturday (9th June) evening Old Actonians CC 2nd Xi is hosting a quiz night at the club and we would like tol invite you all to participate.

Entry is just £10 a head and includes a curry dinner. Maximum team size is six, and we will be starting at 8.30pm.

As the 2nd Xi is renowned throughout Middlesex (and not just by opposition batsmen) as a generous and accommodating bunch, we are throwing in as a bonus a game of heads and tails and a tiebreaker question open to all quiz players - so there'll be three chances to get among the prizes.

If you would like to compete to win, or just sit silently on a table looking thoughtful, but can't muster up a team/just don't trust the knowledge and intellect of your friends/family, we'll be happy to put you in a friendly team that has spaces.

Your quizmasters, 2s captain Olly West and keeper Richard Thompson, promise an entertaining night, with highlights including "Rich T's Biscuit Genius", and the "It's Just Not Cricket" round.

We're delighted to say an in-depth knowledge of the history of cricket in Middlesex will be of no use whatsoever, so non-cricket players/fans should not be put off. James Essex may be disappointed to find there will be no grammar test either.
